SB10-XTSS kit features an Xtreme pressure plate for the most demanding driver. ACT Xtreme pressure plates use exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure a four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. ACT pressure plates have precision cover stampings to provide rigidity and consistency. ACT's Performance street discs are the most popular disc purchased. They feature premium organic materials with higher copper content for better heat transfer and steel-backed lining for greater burst strength and durability. These discs feature a reduced marcel for faster shift action to complement ACT pressure plates. Quiet operation with increased strength and reliability. Monoloc is a one-piece, direct replacement or upgrade to the standard, two-piece wedge collar and wire ring featured in pull-type clutches. The spring tension of the segmented retaining ring is carefully calculated and tested for optimal performance. It provides uniform loading on the bearing and pressure plate to assure proper alignment, regardless of driver influence or vehicle modifications. Monoloc's hardened chrome-moly steel construction will provide years of service.

- LOVE this clutch.... i use it in my daily driver 2011 wrx 6mt. very smooth for street use
Act xtss clutch
- I recently installed this clutch along with a steel braided clutch line on my 04 sti. Both items got to my door within a week thanks to Josh. This clutch/pressure plate combo seems to work well with each other. The pedal feel has increased but nothing that's not expected with a clutch wich holds over 500 ft/lbs. Chatter is almost non existant wich helps when driving in traffic. After a couple hard runs at the strip the clutch still held as it did on the first run. Over all I am very impressed with this clutch and would recommend it to any one looking to upgrade.
Great but not fun for the street
- Holds great, but not a fan of the pressure plate. I would go with the heavy duty model unless it's a track only car or you love a really hard pedal.
ACT XTSS clutch kit
- Excellent street setup with drag racing/launching intentions/use in mind. The XT(extreme); pressure plate ACT uses as an UPGRADE to the lesser HD pressure plate kit(HDSS); has much greater clamping force with a noticable stiff pedal when compared to stock or the HDSS kit. However, clutch chatter is nearly zero while using slightly more revs than stock clutch requires. The organic disc still allows slipping ONLY IF YOU TRY to intentionally slip it. You must really try and want to slip this clutch. Three back to back qtr mile passes and the clutch never even showed a hint of slipping in any gear or launch. This was on race gas map of 27psi and 437whp/447wtq. Very quiet around town driving, clutch in or out. If you want a clutch that can hold large turbo/boost like the Dom3 I'm using on race gas as well as be able to drive to the beach in traffic w/o bucking and jerking at clutch let out, this is the kit. The stiff pedal you will get used to quickly and engagement point is nearly identical to stock. Just holds a hell of alot of torque while still being a street useable clutch(full organic disc with bigger springs);. I will get the same XTSS kit whenever this one wears out. With out even thinking twice about it. It's that good.
