The equal length design of the Perrin header for the Legacy GT produces smoother more balanced exhaust pulses flow from the head to the turbocharger giving you the best of two worlds; Quicker turbo response as well as more horsepower and torque throughout the entire RPM band. You wont see grossly over sized tubing to make our header LOOK better. That just slows down exhaust gases and looses response.
The Perrin Big Tube header uses 1.625" primary tubing that fits the Subaru exhaust port size. The larger diameter header was designed for cars making 500+ wheel HP while not sacrificing low end power on cars with big aftermarket turbos installed. The Perrin manifold is a true equal length header constructed of full T304 stainless steel. Flanged for a stock uppipe, the Perrin header is compatible with stock location uppipes, including those included with rotated mount turbo kits, making the Perrin manifold an excellent choice for big turbo Subarus. If you are looking for huge power gains, this is the header for you.
