Design
The GrimmSpeed TMIC Y-Pipe has been completely redesigned to make use of a single-piece aluminum casting that's machined after the casting process to ensure perfectly flat flanges and precise fitment every single time. With inspiration from the OEM Y-Pipe, GrimmSpeed Engineers set out to balance the airflow through the y-pipe to evenly distribute charge air across the inlet end tank on your top mount intercooler. The 5-ply silicone couplers are fiber reinforced to prevent distortion in high boost scenarios but offer mobility and flexibility, isolating your TMIC assembly from the vibrations of your engine. Each 90 degree coupler is slightly oversized on the turbo side so that it can be trimmed-to-fit with a number of different stock location turbos. This y-pipe is exactly what you need in order to upgrade your WRX intercooler to an STI or GrimmSpeed TMIC. If you've got an STI, the GrimmSpeed Y-Pipe offers a fresh look and better flow distribution. All kits come with a replacement 90deg turbo outlet coupler, throttle body coupler and stainless steel BREEZE high-torque clamps.

Great replacement for my leaky 2 piece y pipe. Comes with new bolts but unfortunately not the gaskets, but luckily i keep spare gaskets on hand. Great quality and fitment just make sure you grab a set of y pipe gaskets.
Works and fits proper on my 04 wrx ej2.0 with sti intercooler
I was a little skeptical about this Y pipe for the top mount because it looks identical to the stock one but I can notice a slight difference 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Replaces the POS plastic piping that often leaks. The stiffer silicon and metal make taking the intercooler on and off a 2 minute job. Definitely worth it.
Definitely a huge improvement over the stock plastic piping. If you have a WRX you may need to trim the hoses down quite a bit to get it to fit as it has to be long enough for the STI's bigger intercooler.
I paired this with the GrimmSpeed tmic to make things easier. Simple bolt on to the intercooler. Only issue I had was that I had to trim the elbow coupling to the turbo, it was a tad too long and wouldn’t let the intercooler fit

I replaced the wrx style silicone hose with this piece. Quite impressive. I always had to wrestle the intercooler on and off before, but not anymore. Everything lines up perfectly.
Can't beat the quality. Might even go with the Grimmspeed TMIC.
