Please note: This intercooler is larger, and it sits a little lower, than the stock intercooler. Making contact with the clutch slave cylinder is expected. Also, trimming of the engine cover is required for proper fitment.

Features:

The Garrett Top Mount Intercooler for your 15-21 WRX boasts a 70% larger core than stock and supports up to 500 horsepower. Optimized end tanks improve air flow through the core by improving turbulent design features found in the stock unit. Bar and plate construction with advanced offset fin design provide the industries most advanced technology available in the market. This performance intercooler installs in less than an hour and reuses the OEM bolts, hoses, and clamps.

One hefty TMIC

Well built and huge TMIC, need to consider the space before buying a strut bar (perrin wont fit, blox racing and cusco will fit).

Good bang for the buck, expected better from Garrett

For the price, you can't go wrong. The fit is pretty good, there are some hiccups. The charge pipe is a REALLY tight fit. I had to hose it down with Windex to get it on and it still fought me. The cold side fits well, slid into the throttle body coupler pretty easily. There were a couple of points of contact that had to be addressed. The stud on the passenger side TMIC bracket ( where the two parts of the bracket are bolted together ) had to be ground flush with the nut. I had to grind down the clutch slave cylinder too. It fits pretty well now, if it still hits anything, I can't hear it. An 06 Forester XT slave cylinder might be a good solution to that issue. If you're handy with a grinder ( not a Dremel ), I HIGHLY recommend this TMIC. If not, look elsewhere.

Great quality for the money.

Overall very happy With this TMIC. It looks great in the engine bay and serves it’s purpose, the stock tmic is very restrictive. Although still prone to heat soak it provides a well amount of extra airflow and cooling. Getting the claps to be secure was a pain. Had air leaks until the couplers were connected correctly.

Great tmic

This tmic has made a big difference over stock. The Intake Manifold temps have been noticeably lower. We’ve had quite a few 90 degree days here in Cleveland over the last week or so. The intercooler has handled the high temps extremely well.
