The C.A.R.B. Certified COBB LF BPV is a compact and lightweight by-pass valve that is capable of holding very high boost pressure without leaking. Its updated design reduces control volume by 30% allowing for extremely fast venting of boost when actuated. Innovative engineering and precision manufacturing result in a compact package able to fit in the confines of a tight engine bay. Due to the low weight of the components, the moving parts in the LF BPV have less inertia and can respond faster than heavier components in other bypass valves. This updated design uses a Banjo-fitting vacuum port which provides 360 degree adjustability of hose routing. This results in a simpler install and less potential leak points than the NPT ports. This new design also includes a piston o-ring seal that is twice the diameter of the old design allowing more seal compression and reduced wear. Adjustability of the spring seat is no longer needed due to the updated spring and seal design which provides a 60% increase in clamping force at peak boost while maintaining similar operation at idle and transient loads.
Couldn't be happier, much more reliable than the factory plastic BPV. Install was simple, Cobb provides awesome detailed instructions with plenty of photos for anyone who needs the extra details and likes to see things step by step.
This BPV is built very well and makes great addition to a solid bolt on built.

Great sound and quality.
Definitely one of the best BPVs for the FA20DIT motor vehicles if you're pushing past the limits of the stock hardware and software. Just a note: if you're installing this with the ETS FMIC/piping kit, make sure to trim down the included ETS coupler by at least 3/4" or more to allow the BPV clearance from any aftermarket air intake piping. Also, you'll most likely need to trim the included vacuum hose no matter if you're using the stock BPV location or aftermarket one, but the space where it connects to the long nipple from the block is a bit tight. Use of longer needle-nose pliers would be very helpful during install.

The COBB LF BPV is a beat. Very robust materials. Comes with more than enough hose to install with any charge pipe. Not as loud as the Boomba I had and no flutter, but you can still hear it releasing. The swivel connection really helps to place it just right.

After hearing claims of potential turbo surge from Boomba bpvs, I’m very pleased I went this route. This thing BARKS!!
I first replaced my leaking oem BPV with a Boomba one until that started leaking too. Spend the money with Cobb once and never be disappointed! Amazing sound and quality
