Perfect for what i needed
This intake has really opened up my 19 sti. There’s a lot more intake noise, and more power. It’s a basic ots stage 1 tune, but with more supporting mods it’ll be a stage 1+ pro tune. This is a mod that’ll be useful well throughout the modding life of the car, so it’s a great purchase that’ll last. The fitment was excellent, very simple to install, and the quality overall is amazing.
Newest addition for my ‘21 STI. Fitment was spot on. Installation was a breeze. Did not receive the 4 nylon washers for the top of air box screws but I used my own. Not IIR fault. You must at least run the Cobb AP Stage 1+ OTS tune with this product. Night and day difference from stock. The car is now running about ~5 degrees above ambient temperature which beats the ~12 degrees above I was running with stock air box. One thing I love about the Cobb intake is the box is open at the bottom which now allow the air from the functional bezels for the STI to be sucked into the intake rather then having a stock closed air box where you were only getting air in from the snorkel. The MAF sensor line is in a different position then the instructions but simply cutting the electrical tape to give it more slack and running it from the bottom of air box to the top is sufficient and does not need an adapter. The car breathes so much better and is happier.

Cobb’s quality is again, on point with this product. Paired this with my Cobb BPV , the turboski noises are real.
Let's just say - I installed this in my 2019 STi (pretty straightforward install, nothing difficult) and ended up taking my husband for a quick ride so he could hear the spool. He ended up ordering this same setup for his 2020 STi a few days later. Make everyone jelly of your turbo noises and order this now. Especially from IIR.
Flawless... The design fits absolutely perfectly and Cobb has the instructions (and instructional videos) to show you exactly how to install. After it was installed, a quick re-flash of the ECU, and it was good to go! In addition, if you are childish (like me), you will love listening to your turbo spool up and blow off all day long.
