The COBB Tuning Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust is constructed of 304 stainless steel and is meticulously TIG welded for outstanding appearance and durability. The beautifully laser-etched 3.5-inch quad exhaust tips add the perfect touch to make your presence known in the way that only COBB Subaru exhausts can provide.
Mid-pipe
At the front, a high quality cast flange is machined to accept the factory donut gasket for leak-free installation. From there, 3" stainless steel tubing runs all of the way back to another 3" cast flange where it meets the y-pipe. A flex section in this pipe adds compliance to the system.
Y-pipe
The y-pipe in this exhaust system consists of a 3" tube that is divided into twin 2.5" tubes by way of an all new cast split section. This cast section improves durability and longevity when compared to other welded splits. All three connections of the y-pipe section are made with high quality cast flanges which resist distortion and allow for a leak-free installation.
Mufflers
As with the rest of the system, the muffler sections connect to the y-pipe section using high quality cast flanges. The heart of this exhaust system are two all new bespoke COBB designed mufflers. These new muffler sections feature a single 2.5" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets that accept slip-on 3.5" dual wall, slash cut tips with laser etched COBB logos.
Gaskets
Multi-layer steel (MLS) gaskets are included for all connections to ensure a secure, leak-free installation.
All of these features add up to a premier cat-back exhaust for your VB Subaru WRX. The exhaust note is crisp and noticeable over stock without introducing unwanted drone in cabin.

This is wha t I would calll a gentleman’s exhaust. It’s only loud whenever you need it to be. Barely any noticeable drone and you can have a normal conversation at cruising speeds. Quality of the welds and part impressive. Ordered on Friday morning with other parts and it got to me by Tuesday really fast shipping. Buying experiance A++++. Customer service ( Dane ) amazing !

Exhaust for adults
I was looking for an exhaust upgrade that sounded good but didn’t shout “I’m 22 and don’t give a s***t about the neighbors” and this is it. It has a nice deep rumble and no drone. Very real world usable upgrade. And, the look and quality of Cobb is head and shoulders above the competition. Don’t listen to the haters who say it sounds just like stock. Absolutely not true.

Absolutely flawless fit and finish, and sounds great.
I expected this to be a bit quieter based on the reviews actually and I’m mostly glad it isn’t. It’s a great volume for hearing the car, adding a deeper less raspy tone compared to stock, and not being obnoxious. Cold starts are still pretty annoying, but once it warms up it sounds really good. The video at the end captures after the cats warm and the RPMs drop and you can hear the difference. It does drone a little in the cab at around 2k and 4k RPM, but it’s more like hearing the exhaust slightly louder at that range than an annoying boomy drone. Overall really happy with it and it looks fantastic.
Cobb has nailed the exhaust. Little to no drone, just a touch around 1700-2100 rpm while accelerating, and all this without a resonator. The fit and finish is excellent and the removable tips make for adjusting them to your liking.
