The new Fumoto® SX-series is comprised of two distinct yet fully integrated parts: the through bolt and oil-flow control body. These features allow the valve to be positioned as you choose for even more convenient and effortless oil changes. The new ergonomic control lever makes the valves easier to operate and the versatility of the SX series allows installation without an adapter on some cars that may have previously required one.
All SX series valves offer a short 5mm nipple which allows you to attach a hose for convenient draining. Constructed of forged brass and stainless steel to exacting Japanese specifications, SX series valves are designed to provide a lifetime of dependable and reliable service.

Now the only tool I need to perform an oil change is myself. This thing sweet. Hope it doesn't leak lol.
It's Japanese and it's quality. And I've had Fumoto valves since my 2013 WRX, 2022 Highlander, and now my 2024 WRX TR. It makes oil change better with very little mess. No more crush washers. It's literally installing it and when doing an oil change, you turn it 1/4 turn and the oil comes out. You can slow the initial pour as it's a ball valve inside so you're not dumping hot oil by accident but it's worth every penny. It's an item that over time, it pays for itself. And I'm in the Northeast where road salt during winter eats up everything but this valve always held up as it's brass with stainless parts.
This is a must have. Even if you don't do your own maintenance, this avoids the struggle of dealing with a bolt.
The fumoto oil drain plug has made my oil change so much easier. Highly recommend for subie owners for that easy and mess free oil change.

If you’re doing your own oil changes. I change my oil every 4k on my vb, this makes it all easy. I used my 20 dollar build bucks only spent 14 bucks plus tax, no brainer. Easy to install and fast shipping.

It is well built to say the least.
I got tired of oil running all over the place when I removed the drain plug. Hopefully it makes the oil changes much neater and simpler.
It was very easy to install. At least for me. I torqued mine down to 18 foot pounds per the chart found on their website. Honestly, it was already at the torque spec before I put the torque wrench on it.
The only suggestion I would make to err on the side of caution is to go to your local hardware store and get a 3/8 inch screw cover for the nipple to keep dirt out.
