Installation
Removal of the stock piece starts on the underside of the hood. Replace with the Noble Bulge (bolt on).
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS. Hand tight ONLY. Professional Installation HIGHLY recommended.
It looks so damn good. Brings back the taller hood scoops from previous gens and it was easy to install. When they hand tight with the screws it's hand tight or fitment will be off. Dont wait til it's gone!

The look is perfect. It adds to the VB bringing back the early STI. Install was easy after a little fight getting the stock off. 30 mins. With simple tools. I added LED’s for an added touch.
So I'm one of the 1st adaptors of this hood bulge kit. First off 1st time Subie owner and probably the last. (love the car, hate the brand) Our WRX is a DD, goes to and from work for the most part. Mostly highway miles to replace our old 09 Accord with 272k+ miles. Had issues with the initial order (getting the wrong color, blue vs. SOP) but Joshua and the gang fixed me right up hassle free. Install was straightforward and paint match was ever slightly off but still manageable. I'm pretty OCD but for what we use the car for it is no big deal. Only real minor issue I have is the hardware it came with along with the anchor points. Seems a little on the flimsy side and the provided screws IMHO just isn't good enough. I ended up using the OEM hardware. I still gave it a 5 star as so far (knocking on wood) it has not taken off its own. It is pretty windy where we live (N. Los Angeles County) so this kit hanging on is surprising me. Haven't checked for the paint rub issues being reported early on as that does not bother me as the car is a DD; besides, it sits inside the garage when not in use next to my 2018 GT350. I believe IIR has updated the kit with better hardware and felt pieces but this was early on so not sure if that is permanent fix. Knowing how IIR does business, buying their stuff is a no-brainer so buy this kit with confidence. Next up will be those 10mm color matched fender flares and rear side marker LEDs.
Hood scoop came fast, was packaged securely and was easy to install. Fitment was exactly as I imagined, and it looks great on the car. IIR came through with another win for my VB.

Paint match was spot on. Almost an inch taller than stock and it seems to have my intake manifold temps down 2-3 degrees with added airflow on the intercooler
