For vehicle owners who demand higher output, these are a great solution. Their output is superior to most stock OEM halogen bulbs. They are only meant to replace reverse bulbs and not placed in ultra tight locations. Output is high and demands a good reflector housing. These are not meant to be on for longer than 5 minutes at a time.

Build quality feels solid and the light output is greatly improved. I have these bulbs installed in the 4th brake light housing as reverse lights on my GR86. I also have a dark smoke overlay installed and these shine through perfectly.
So much better with the leds. iiR was quick in getting my order out and the install was super easy. All 86 and BRZ orders should do this simple mod.
This is how it should have come from the factory. Easy upgrade and less than 10 minutes.
It does improve the lighting when in reverse at night. I did this similar LED on my 2019 Miata and was pleased with the improvement so I did same on my 2022 BRZ.
Install was very easy, plugged right in. They are very bright and crisp white
