Reduce drivetrain shudder under hard acceleration by installing a PERRIN Pitch Stop mount. The factory pitch stop mount is designed to control the pitching of the engine and transmission under light to normal acceleration. Subaru's with power and drivetrain upgrades will need PERRIN's more aggressive option.
Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from front axle torque twist. To control this front to back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop is made of plastic with soft rubber bushings, allowing for a significant amount of movement under hard driving conditions, creating drivetrain slop & shudder.

It was a pain to get in, but the included grease applied to the sides of the bushings and some love taps with a rubber mallet and screwdriver helped to get it into the spot. The start-off and 1st-2nd shift have completely changed feeling in the best way; no massive buck if the clutch movement wasn't the best, and the added NVH is really not that bad. There's a little extra raw buzz at 2500-3500 RPM, which makes logical sense since it's a solid metal bar and solid polyurethane bushing holding that moving transmission instead of that plasticky floating-bushing OEM one. It's not worth getting someone getting bent out of shape about the added noise, especially if you roll with a window open or the volume over lv15. I probably over-torqued putting it back in a little, but it's definitely in there good.
All in all, solid product, solid replacement of a wonky OEM choice.
