This is a great mod to do without any tuning required. Installation is fairly straightforward after jacking the car up and taking the splash guard and skid plate. It was a bit tedious to get into place. I had to trim a bit off the recirculation valve connection to get it to fit correctly but eventually got it on and tightened up. Performance wise it feels like acceleration has increased quite a bit with maybe a little more turbo noise.

Looks great and can always expect great instructions and quality from Perrin components! I will be ordering more of their stuff very soon!

Definitely needed it for my build with my fp blue turbo. Shawn sent me the quote and got it shipped pretty fast!

Tip: Measure twice cut once. Make sure you pay attention if you are running an aftermarket air intake. Can be easy to cut in the wrong place.

Install went smooth and fits like a glove. If you are running a Boomba BPV, it will add in some extra noise. Sounds almost like a morning dove. Throttle response feels slightly better, the turbo spools up a touch quicker I think.

Do it, just added insurance so that you won't get stuck with a cracked stock inlet. Because it will fail.

Living in Arizona, we get very high summer temps which just destroys car plastic. Definitely a necessity to protect against leaks or any problems the crappy plastic stock one is susceptible to.

This turbo inlet is far better than stock, but keep in mind that it will most likely need to be trimmed when using an aftermarket intake. Trimming the inlet hose is not hard, but always cut small increments at a time and test fit. Great product!

Great upgrade over the stock restrictive turbo inlet and plastic flange. The Perrin turbo inlet eliminates the plastic components and opens up the restrictive oem smaller diameter inlet pipe used from the factory. I noticed smoother accelerations and felt like the turbo was more responsive and spoiled up quicker. I also installed a Cobb BPV which complimented this Perrin 3” turbo inlet nicely. Only thing I would recommend is for people running an aftermarket EBCS ordering the adapter listed in perrins instructions to avoid any boost leaks. All in all great product definitely recommend.

Highly recommended! The stock turbo inlet is thin and weak! Only recommendation is if you have a Cobb Big SF intake you can make it work but it takes to much manipulation. This works perfect with most intakes. My friends have it on the Afe Takada intake, and other has Mishimoto intake. Al positive opinions on this product!

Finally installed this part along with my Cobb BigSF intake with airbox. While I cannot say I notice a difference with this inlet on its own, I can say that the intake/induction noise is much much louder and the pull once the turbo starts spooling is more forceful. There are some things to note on installation, especially when attaching it to an aftermarket intake...First, the weird clamp (only on 17+ WRXs) holding the PCV connector to the crankcase vent is tough to get out. And second, trimming the inlet hose to fit the intake was a little difficult because the instructions show a different point to trim, but it will vary based on the aftermarket intake you have. Always measure twice before cutting. Safer to not take enough off and to take more as you go than to take too much off and have to buy a replacement hose. I will say, the wire reinforcement made trimming the hose with an Xacto knife to an appropriate length that connected to my Cobb BigSF intake a little more difficult that I required some diagonal pliers.

Absolutely loved this item it was a straight forward install but only issue i had was making it work with the grimspeed ebcs that i had on my car.. this inlet appeara to only be set up to run the stock ebcs or one that is very similar.. was able to use a few extra clamps an small piece of vacuum line to make it work an have not had a single issue
