The Verus Engineering Hood Louver Kit helps reduce engine bay heat and pressure by allowing air to evacuate from under the hood.
Utilizing CFD, at Verus they located a hood position of low pressure to maximize underhood evacuation and a louver design that encourages the evacuation as well. Relieving this underhood pressure increases front-end downforce as the pressure pushing up on the hood is no longer present. Evacuating the hot engine bay airflow also improves cooling stack efficiency and can increase part longevity for components that are heat sensitive. Adding the louver is a great way to increase front-end grip and reduce underhood temperatures on and off track.
Verus designed this louver to be installed on your OEM hood to allow for key vent placement and maximum efficiency. This resulted in a product that retains the hood's structural skeleton throughout the years of use.
